John Arias, MD

Dr. Arias was born and spent his first three years in Colombia, South America; before moving to the US, and growing up in Alabama. He graduated from Duke University, majoring in French. He then obtained his MD at the University of South Alabama. His residency and fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine were both completed at the University of Utah.

 

Before founding Direct Radiology, Dr. Arias spent over 17 years in private practice and teleradiology, where he divided his time between Park City, Utah and Sydney, Australia.

 

He is a Managing Partner and Founder of Direct Radiology, and holds American Board of Radiology Certification, with previous American Board of Nuclear Medicine Certification.

 

Lawrence Bub, MD

Dr. Bub immigrated to the United States from South Africa with his family in 1976, gaining citizenship in 1981. He grew up in Denver, CO, and majored in English Literature at Harvard University. Dr. Bub attended medical school at the University of Colorado, and completed residency and neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle.

 

Prior to founding Direct Radiology, LLC, he spent six years in private practice and teleradiology, serving on the Internal Review Board for Quality Assurance and as Medical Director at Nighthawk Radiology Services. Dr. Bub has published original research in Radiology and the Journal of Trauma.

 

He is a Managing Partner and Founder of Direct Radiology, and holds American Board of Radiology Certification, with previous American Board of Nuclear Medicine Certification.

 

Kyle Henneberry, MD

Dr. Henneberry is a native of Spokane, WA. He graduated with honors in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, and completed radiology residency at the University of Colorado.

 

Prior to founding Direct Radiology, he worked for Nighthawk Radiology Services from the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, serving on the Internal Review Board for Quality Assurance.

Patricia Barnes, MD

Dr. Barnes was born and raised in Iowa completing undergraduate study at the University of Iowa.  She attended medical school and residency at the University of Texas in Houston, and completed a fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. 

 

Dr. Barnes has worked in both private practice and teleradiology during her career. She resides in New Hampshire and Virginia.  She holds American Board of Radiology Certification with CAQ in Neuroradiology.

 

 

 

John Boardman, MD

Native of Wisconsin, Dr. Boardman attended University of Wisconsin - Madison for an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, and earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He completed his radiology residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

 

After residency he did a body imaging fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, where he stayed on as a clinical associate until joining Nighthawk Radiology Services to do teleradiology. He holds American Board of Radiology Certification.

 

 

Richard Carregal, DO

Dr. Carregal received his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology at University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL.  He received his medical degree from Des Moines University and completed his internship and residency at Detroit Medical Center – Huron Valley in Michigan.  He completed a Neuroradiology fellowship at University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.

 

After completing training, and prior to joining Direct Radiology, Dr. Carregal worked for 3+ years for another teleradiology company.  He holds American Osteopathic Board of Radiology Certification in Diagnostic Radiology and CAQ in Neuroradiology.

 

 

 

Sinclair Cottingham, MD

Dr. Sinclair Cottingham earned his undergraduate degree at Baylor University in Waco, TX, with a year abroad at Schiller International University and the University of Maryland European Division in Heidelberg, Germany. He attended medical school at the University of Texas in San Antonio and completed radiology residency at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. He completed a fellowship on Body MRI at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.

 

Dr. Cottingham has worked in both hospital settings and teleradiology for many years. He holds licensure in 33 states and American Board of Radiology Certification. He currently lives in Nevada.

 

 

Ken Edgar, MD

Dr. Edgar, a native of Michigan, has been in practice for more than 18 years. He attended medical school at University of Michigan and completed a diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship training in neuroradiology at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Pennsylvania State University.  Dr. Edgar began his radiology career working in private practice in Pennsylvania and been contracting teleradiology services for several years now.

Greg Galdino, MD

Greg Galdino MD/MBA was born and raised in Harrisburg PA. Dr. Galdino graduated from Penn State University and attended Duke University Medical School receiving his MD degree in 1996. He completed his surgical internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital and began his medical career as a plastic surgical resident at Johns Hopkins before changing to diagnostic radiology in 2002. He completed his radiology residency at the University of California, San Francisco followed by a fellowship in musculoskeletal sports medicine imaging at National Orthopedic Imaging Associates in San Francisco.

 

Before joining Direct Radiology, Dr. Galdino was a private practice partner in Jackson, TN for 5 years, utilizing his skills in musculoskeletal imaging and general diagnostic radiology.

 

His interests include all facets of diagnostic radiology, particularly emergency radiology, sports medicine, and MR imaging. He has been involved in organized radiology at all levels, particularly in the American College of Radiology and in the TN Radiological Society, holding many elected leadership positions. He is completing his MBA from the University of TN and is interested in the business aspects of medicine and radiology. Dr. Galdino holds the American Board of Radiology certification.

 

Dhawal Goradia, MD

Dr. Goradia completed his undergraduate degree at Reed College in Portland, OR and then received his MD from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio.  He moved to Seattle, WA where he completed his radiology residency as well as fellowships in Musculoskeletal Radiology and Neuroradiology at the University of Washington. 

 

Dr. Goradia’s professional interests include advanced neuroimaging, stroke, spine imaging, and musculoskeletal radiology.   He spent 8 years practicing teleradiology with vRad prior to joining Direct Radiology.  He holds ABR board certification in Diagnostic Radiology as well as a CAQ in Neuroradiology.  He calls Seattle home.

 

 

 

 

 

Christopher Hurt, MD

Dr. Hurt spent his early years in the DC suburbs. He graduated from Stanford University magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with an AB degree in Japanese literature. Subsequently he graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

 

After completing transitional internship at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center, Manhattan, Dr. Hurt completed diagnostic radiology residency at University of Washington, following his mentor from medical school, Dr. Norman Beauchamp, Jr.  Following time as a senior neuroradiology fellow at University of Washington Department of Radiology (Neuroradiology), he completed pediatric radiology fellowship at University of Washington, Seattle Children's Hospital, focusing on pediatric neuroradiology.

 

During fellowship, Dr. Hurt began working with Virtual Radiologic Corporation, which continued for 7 years, before joining Direct Radiology. Dr. Hurt focuses on pediatric neuroradiology, but enjoys and is proficient with many aspects of pediatric and adult radiology.

 

Throughout undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, and professional endeavors, Dr. Hurt has spent extensive time studying, researching and lecturing in Japanese hospitals in an attempt to further mutual medical knowledge through bridging multiple medical cultures.

 

 

 

Perry Kaneriya, MD

Dr. Kaneriya received his BA in Biology and English Literature at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He completed medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He graduated with an MD as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

 

Continuing his general radiology and sub-specialty neuroradiology training at Brigham and Women's Hospital of Harvard Medical School where he was appointed Chief Resident. His neuroradiology specialization also includes training at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Boston Children's Hospital.

 

Dr. Kaneriya's professional experiences include private practice as well as contracting teleradiology services for 2 major teleradiology companies--Nighthawk Radiology Services, where he served on the Internal Review Board for Quality Assurance and Virtual Radiologic where he served time as Clinical Section Chief of Neuroradiology. Dr. Kaneriya holds American Board of Radiology Certification.

 

 

Margaret Kang, MD

Margaret Kang M.D. was born and raised in New York. Dr. Kang graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in history and then earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Kang completed both her medical internship and radiology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven Connecticut and then studied musculoskeletal imaging with Dr. Javier Beltran in Brooklyn, New York.

 

Before joining Direct Radiology, Dr. Kang was a private practice partner in Arlington, VA at the Virginia Hospital Center, where she was the section chief of musculoskeletal imaging. While her focus was on musculoskeletal imaging, she also practiced general diagnostic and emergency radiology. Dr. Kang's 10 years of clinical experience also includes a teleradiology practice from her home in Virginia. Dr. Kang holds the American Board of Radiology certification.

 

 

Christopher Sidden, MD

Medical School: Eastern Virginia Medical School

Dr. Sidden is a native of North Carolina. A graduate with distinction with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, he then attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk Virginia. After completing a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, he completed a fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Abdominal Imaging and Nonvascular Intervention at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

 

Dr. Sidden joins the Direct Radiology team with prior experience in academic, private practice, imaging center, and teleradiology practices. He holds American Board of Radiology Certification.

 

 

Scott A. Werden, MD

Dr. Werden is a native of New York City. He received his BS from SUNY Stony Brook, where he also completed medical school. Dr. Werden trained and achieved board certification in Internal Medicine before performing his radiology residency at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, after which he completed a fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

 

Before joining Direct Radiology, Dr. Werden served as medical director at a number of advanced outpatient imaging centers in the San Francisco Bay area. He has specialized in spinal interventional work and in orthopedic and musculoskeletal MRI, providing consultations for athletes and teams in the NFL, NHL, MLS and Arena Football League.

 

Over the past decade, Dr. Werden has developed a strong interest in the diagnosis and treatment of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS), and has recently published the chapter on imaging of this disease in the state of the art book on TOS. He consults with physicians and patients from around the country, and is the founder and chairman of the Thoracic Outlet Society, located in the San Francisco Bay area.

 

Dr. Werden holds American Board of Radiology Certification.
